About these dates

In Leicestershire, the October, Easter and summer holidays are on different dates from most of England.

Leicestershire starts the year in late August, takes October half term a week early and breaks up for summer in early July.

These are Leicestershire County Council's dates for the schools it runs. See Leicestershire County Council's term dates.

Academies, free schools, faith schools and independent schools can set their own dates, and every school adds its own training (INSET) days. Check with your school before you book anything.
